SYNECT 2.11

Even easier integration into distributed teams and enhanced status model

SYNECT is used as a data management solution for globally distributed teams and represents an important tool within the range of dSPACE test solutions for software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation. Before it can be used, SYNECT has to be integrated into any existing customer processes and IT landscapes. In order to make this easier, the new version, SYNECT 2.11, now supports the OpenID Connect standard for user authentication. OpenID Connect providers include, for example, the open-source software Keycloak. SYNECT 2.11 also features an intuitive assistant to configure the hosting of the SYNECT server, the SYNECT license server, and the dashboard as services within a Microsoft® IIS environment.

SYNECT is expanding its range of status models with SYNECT 2.11 so that the status can be defined freely for various SYNECT elements. Status changes to a SYNECT element are allowed only as part of valid status transitions. The SYNECT administrator can define freely which status transitions are permitted and which users or groups are allowed to change the status of the individual SYNECT elements. This makes it possible to control and reproduce processes in SYNECT even more effectively—for example, the maturity level of test specifications, the implementation status of tests, or the review status of test results.
