This version of AURELION introduces multiple major new features and improvements to give you more flexible simulation capabilities by using your own 3D objects and more realistic 3D environment and character models.
- Import your own traffic signs and static objects into AURELION using the new Asset Importer for consistent integration
- Automatic generation of vegetation for ModelDesk roads to obtain more realistic rural scenes
- New animated character models have been added for realistic simulation, including gestures and facial expressions
- Easy copying and pasting of AURELION Manager project content with the new clone function

To use this version, your Software Maintenance Service (SMS) must have been valid at least until November 31, 2024.
Asset Importer
Use the Asset Importer to persistently integrate your own 3D objects into AURELION. The Asset Importer provides a graphical workflow to import traffic signs and static objects into AURELION and prepare them for sensor simulation. This includes:
- Basic transformation options
- Persistent saving in the AURELION 3D library
- Interactive material mapping for sensor simulation
- Mesh classification for semantic and instance segmentation visualization
Automated Scene Generation
Add more realism to your auto-generated 3D environments!
We made significant improvements to the automated scene generation for AURELION. Configure road and vegetation settings to create realistic and deterministic rural environments for visualization and sensor simulation.
Clone Functionality in AURELION Manager
In AURELION Manager, we made great usability improvements by integrating a clone functionality for sensor, vehicle, scenario, and system configuration. Clone your configurations and use them as templates, e.g., if you want to test different vehicles with similar sensor setups or want to make slight modifications to your system configuration for testing and debugging.
New Technology for Animated Characters
A new set of animated characters has been added to AURELION. The animated characters are based on the MetaHuman model of Unreal Engine and provide several presets for gesture and facial animations.
More Features
- Performance improvements by using incremental garbage collection of Unreal Engine
- Frame-wise stepping through replay scenarios
- Added AURELION support for Python 3.12
- Improved error message handling during the AURELION synchronization
- Dropdown menu added to map data streams from ASM to your AURELION UI widgets
