FAQ 707: Variables Initialized by Another (Calibratable) Variable or a Formula

Question

I want to initialize variables by means of other variables instead of a value. I want to use either one variable or a formula of more than one variable. For example, I would like to make a Gain parameter dependent on 3 calibratable parameters. The Gain parameter should be initialized only once when the simulation starts. How can I do this?
