FAQ 172: SCALEXIO Hardware Warning - The IOCNET interface has not (yet) synchronized

Question

The log file shows a message like this one:

Warning. Hardware is connected to IOCNET slot/connector 4 (DS2551, SN123456) but the IOCNET interface has not (yet) synchronized. Cannot communicate with this hardware. Check IOCNET and hardware connections.

It seems that the hardware works without problems.
What can be the reason for this message?
