UUID Completer

This is a utility that iterates recursively over SystemDesk® project elements in order to set UUIDs where they are not defined.

A Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) is an identifier standard used as a property of AUTOSAR elements. The purpose of UUIDs is to uniquely identify project elements with reasonable confidence that the identifier will never be used for anything else.

If you create new elements in your SystemDesk project, the AUTOSAR UUIDs are created automatically. However, if you import an AUTOSAR XML file, element UUIDs may be undefined. You cannot edit UUIDs with SystemDesk’s user interface, but you can set them via SystemDesk’s automation interface. You can configure different variants of this script. Results are written to a text file.
