Single-Source Test Solutions

To make complex challenges manageable, dSPACE offers seamless test system solutions from a single source. In these solutions, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests play an important role, complemented by pure software simulation with virtual ECUs.

Tool Chain for Virtual Validation

Virtual validation technology enables you to prepare hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests and scenarios on a PC and use virtual ECUs (V-ECUs) in a HIL simulation if the ECU hardware prototype is not available yet. There are dSPACE tools for all of your virtual validation requirements: SystemDesk for generating V-ECUs from the ECU software architecture, VEOS for PC-based simulation, and SCALEXIO for real-time simulation.

SCALEXIO for HIL Tests

The SCALEXIO hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulator is available from small to large systems while providing very high processing power. It is configured entirely by software, which makes adapting to changing requirements flexible and easy. SCALEXIO can be coupled with other dSPACE HIL systems, such as Simulator Mid-Size and Simulator Full-Size, offering an easy way to update existing HIL systems.

Mechatronic Test Benches

In some HIL test cases, it is not possible to access the ECU through its electric interfaces alone. As a result, mechanical access is essential for setting up mechanical loads on electric drives, stimulating the integrated sensors for mechatronic ECUs, or stimulating human-machine interfaces, for example. For these tasks, dSPACE provides highly dynamic test benches for mechatronic components and systems in connection with the real-time simulation.
