  • Both PWM blocks (Multi-channel and block-commutated PWM) are now able to switch the PWM outputs in high-impedance mode during run time. This allows the implementation of a free running mode in the electric motor.
  • The block-commutated PWM block now supports customer-specific sector configurations that can be activated independently of the motor angle. This allows for the implementation of new control features such as the electric braking of a motor by short-circuiting the phases to each other.
  • Option to configure the minimum revolutions per minute (RPM) of the incremental encoder interface. This allows for the control of very slow rotating machines.
RTI FPGA Programming Blockset 3.3

    • Automatic reassignment of interface resources to avoid conflicts due to multiple assignments

  • With the RTI Watchdog Blockset 2.1 more safety mechanisms such as memory integrity checks are supported. The features can be used in addition to the well-known safety mechanisms such as watchdog or challenge-response monitoring.
  • The memory integrity checks include:
    • Heap monitoring
    • Stack monitoring
    • ROM monitoring
  • A new supply voltage (VBAT) monitor is also supported. It can be used to detect if the supply voltage of the MicroAutoBox is in critical range and react accordingly
