What is SCALEXIO FSX?
SCALEXIO FSX represents a new product line designed to enhance hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) applications. It offers advanced functionalities for fault insertion, signal conditioning, and further extensions (FSX). This platform serves as an extension of the existing SCALEXIO real-time system, providing even greater flexibility and scalability for diverse testing needs.
SCALEXIO FSX introduces a lean portfolio, addressing all system classes and use cases with unique product offerings. The hardware components of SCALEXIO FSX are designed as an extension to the SCALEXIO real-time system, with software tool-chain enhancements including the External Device Editor and ASAM XIL API standard interface. The External Device Editor enables you to define the pinout and cable harness required to connect ECUs and other external devices.
The standard for racks and boards allows for the integration of project-specific solutions, making SCALEXIO FSX an adaptable choice for various test environments.
Application Areas for SCALEXIO FSX
- Real-time testing and simulation for the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors
- Integration with HIL setups for enhanced fault insertion and signal processing
- Ideal for the implementation of fault insertion tests defined in LV 124/LV 148
What are LV 124 and LV 148?
LV 124 is a quality and reliability test standard introduced by several German car manufacturers. It covers tests of electrical and electronic components for use in vehicles up to 3.5 tons with a 12-volt electrical system. LV 148 is the corresponding standard for 48-volt technology.
Key Benefits
- Seamless scaling of test solutions
- Full compatibility from simple function testers to complete virtual vehicle (VV) setups
- Optimized scaling of functions and costs
- Fault insertion extension only if required
- Fault insertion with different current and speed levels (relay vs. MOSFET)
- Flexible off-the-shelf portfolio
- Extended standard HIL range
