December 1, 2016: As of Release 2016-B, the suffix Next Generation will be removed from ControlDesk (6.0). The experiment and visualization software now is a native 64-bit software. This gives you even better performance when creating highly complex projects and for the efficient processing of large recorded data files. This makes it possible to directly link signals from ASAM MDF 4.1 files to a plotter via drag & drop, even when the size of the recorded data file is several gigabyte. The product packaging was simplified to directly support all dSPACE simulation platforms, for example. The only remaining additional modules are the Signal Editor, the Bus Navigator, the ECU Interface Module and the ECU Diagnostics Module. Moreover, numerous enhanced details, such as the instrumentation for failure insertion and bus support make the new ControlDesk an even more universal tool for testing and developing ECU software.
