The ASM simulation tool suite is capable of performing complex simulations of traffic and vehicle dynamics in realistic environments. For this purpose, it features numerous high-quality, validated models. Improvements to the import and export functions now make it possible to exchange simulation artifacts reliably in line with the OpenDRIVE standard. The electric vehicle configuration was expanded to include a torque controller for electric drives, which is available for brushless DC machines (BLDC) and squirrel cage induction machines (SCIM) in addition to the speed, current, and voltage control functions. All aspects of SIL simulations can be managed using the ModelDesk graphical user interface for parameterization and simulation. For example, it is possible to start, stop, and reset a maneuver at any time, even if the simulator is stopped during operation.
