Automotive Simulation Models 9.4

Published: November 19, 2019

Realistic Traffic Flow Simulations with Vehicle Dynamics Behavior

The Automotive Simulation Models (ASM) tool suite was further extended for realistic traffic simulations. The virtual drivers of ego-vehicles and other traffic fellows can now recognize collision risks in randomized traffic simulations and autonomously avoid collisions. They also observe traffic regulations, traffic signs, and traffic lights. The dynamic behavior of all vehicles is fully integrated into the simulation. This lets you use ASM in complex traffic flow simulations, for example, to investigate real driving emissions (RDE) aspects.

In addition, ASM has been significantly improved in the area of sensor models, hybrid drives, and combustion engines. You can now import models of the multibody simulation software Adams into the tool suite.
