Automotive Simulation Models 9.0

New road sign sensor, dual clutch transmission, and more.

January 12, 2018: Version 9.0 of the Automotive Simulation Model (ASM) tool suite was further optimized for the realistic simulation of traffic environments: The ASM Traffic Model now also supports variable message signs and traffic lights. The traffic sign sensor can detect the signs even if they are attached to a gantry, interpret them, and assign them to a lane. The 2-D sensor was enhanced to detect continuous objects, such as guard rails. Furthermore, traffic objects and fellow vehicles can move on freely customizable trajectories.

A model of a dual clutch transmission is now available for the drivetrain and the fuel evaporation is taken into consideration for the tank simulation.
