April 25, 2013: Mircea Gradu (center), Vice President of Powertrain, Transmission & Driveline Engineering and Head of Virtual Analysis for Chrysler Group LLC, and other Chrysler executives were introduced to dSPACE’s new hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platform, SCALEXIO®, and dSPACE’s new data management software, SYNECT®, during a booth visit at the 2013 SAE World Congress on April 17, 2013, in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
dSPACE Sr. Account Manager, Chad Harnish (left), and President, Kevin Kott (second from left), spoke with the executives about Chrysler’s success in software testing with dSPACE HIL systems and their use of virtual testing in the power transmission area to accomplish more subsystem testing. Chrysler’s objective is to rely less on prototype vehicles and more on virtual testing and validation.
The executive team was also introduced to dSPACE’s new virtual validation tool – VEOS
® - that provides comprehensive, integrated tool support to test software early in the development stage.
