On November 14th, around 100 aerospace experts happily accepted the invitation to join the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) TechDay to exchange the latest findings in the context of aerospace electrification, eVTOLs, UAVs, and eCTOLs. The TechDay took place in Ottobrunn, Germany, and was hosted by dSPACE and its partner company IABG.
Professor Florian Holzapfel, chair of the Institute of Flight System Dynamics at Technische Universität München, opened the event with a dynamic keynote, tracing a path from the beginnings of powered flight to today's cutting-edge innovations like electric, automated, and vertical take-off technologies.
Six other speakers provided insights into current challenges and presented solutions that also facilitate the certification of relevant components in an airplane, among other things.
Between the presentations, visitors were able to network or visit the exhibition where some of the presented solutions were showcased live in action.
