Overview

The increasing complexity of ECU software, with millions of lines of code required to control a single vehicle, is one of the key challenges for automotive companies. The flexibility required to include new technologies like neural networks or vehicle connectivity features is another driving factor for the transformation of development processes towards modern software development methods.

Platform independence becomes an important requirement, for server and cloud applications as well as the working spaces of developers. One step towards this desired flexibility is software-in-the-loop testing with VEOS on Linux, as demonstrated in our newest Innovation Coffee Break.
