Simulating Radar Echoes for Precise Testing

In a virtual simulation environment, the possibilities of testing radar sensors are endless. By simply simulating an object reflection, or radar target, you can generate an echo and manipulate that echo – change its frequency, its velocity, its reflected energy, etc. -- to evaluate its behavior across a multitude of different use cases.

This is all made possible with dSPACE Automotive Radar Test Systems (DARTS). With the DARTS product family, radar sensors can be tested quickly and with the utmost precision using echo generation. DARTS is ideal for automotive manufacturers producing radar chips and radar sensors. Object-detection scenarios, such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking (AEB) or pedestrian detection, for example, can be realistically simulated and tested.

About the Event

IMS is part of Microwave Week, a group of co-located conferences which includes the Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Symposium (RFIC) and the Automatic Radio Frequency Techniques Group (ARFTG). This year, the event is being held virtually.
