dSPACE Tech Day – Advancing ADAS Development

May 2, 2016, Novi, Michigan

dSPACE invites you to participate in a 1-day tech day focused on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This event is free-of-charge, courtesy of dSPACE, and will be held on May 2, at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel in Novi, MI.

ADAS and autonomous driving are enabled by powerful embedded software and electronic control units (ECUs). To build sophisticated ADAS and autonomous features, it is critical to have a development platform that can manage complexity, deliver real-time processing power, and process vast amounts of data.

This tech day will cover the latest software development tools and methods for developing embedded systems to support ADAS and autonomous driving.

Presentation topics

  • Disrupting Conventional Automotive Development – ADAS and Autonomous Vehicles
  • Advancing ADAS Development with RTMaps - Intempora
  • In-Vehicle Development Platforms for ADAS and Autonomous Applications
  • Model-Based ADAS Development and Testing with dSPACE ASM
  • Verification and Validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems with PC-Based Simulation
  • Thousands of Test Scenarios. Millions of Miles to Drive. Your Lab is Your Road: Manage Your Systems and Testing
  • What About Side Effects? How to Enhance the Value of Your Test Results with Real-Time Capable Requirement Observers

Workshops

WORKSHOP 1: Introduction to ADAS Applications Development Using RTMaps
This 1 hour hands-on workshop will introduce the latest dSPACE product offering - RTMaps, Real-Time Multisensor Advanced Prototyping Software. The user will gain an understanding of the basic multisensory data capture and playback capabilities of RTMaps, as well as the framework that RTMaps provides for the development and deployment of ADAS algorithms.

WORKSHOP 2: Introduction to the ASM Traffic Simulation Package
This 1-hour workshop will introduce the complete dSPACE ASM Traffic tool chain, including the ASM Traffic Simulink® model, ModelDesk, MotionDesk and ControlDesk, and will show setups for testing various ADAS features. The user will gain an understanding of how to handle the ASM Traffic simulation package, how to define road networks, and how to create traffic scenarios with various vehicles.

Learn How to Effectively Handle Multisensor Challenges

Nicolas du Lac, CEO, Intempora

At this event, Intempora CEO Nicolas du Lac will give a presentation on RTMaps -- an innovative and unparalleled software environment for multisensor applications.

This presentation will address special needs for testing and developing multisensor applications, how to ensure that all data is time correlated, how to get the most out of your computing architecture, how to test under reproducible conditions, etc.

In addition to this presentation, a live demo will be available, along with a workshop that provides a more in-depth, hands-on experience with RTMaps.
