In this role, you will work in the area of HIL Simulation for the testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in Automotive, Off-Highway, Aerospace, and other industrial applications. You will be part of a team-oriented environment, involved in developing and applying dSPACE HIL simulation technology for the most exciting and cutting-edge control domains.
Responsibilities
- Modeling of physical systems for HIL simulation in the following domains include (but not limited to)
- Engine (Gasoline, Diesel, including after-treatment) Simulation
- Vehicle Dynamics and Traffic simulation
- Electric machine/component simulation (e.g. for Hybrid vehicle applications)
- Design, configuration, and application of dSPACE HIL simulators for customer’s ECU testing needs
- Specialized support of HIL systems and models, including at customer locations
- Ability to work independently on all phase of a project, including design, implementation, and delivery
- Development of test automation projects
- Technical support of dSPACE products, including at customer location
- Work with other dSPACE product lines if required
- Assist sales and marketing efforts
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired:
- Model-based development with MATLAB® and Simulink®
- Development, testing, or familiarity of embedded control systems (mechatronics, automotive control systems)
- HIL simulation systems
- In-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay
- Programming in C, C++, Python, or other comparable languages
- Good communication skills
- A desire to learn and be challenged
