Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Wixom, MI

As a Technical Sales Engineer you will work as part of a motivated sales team on providing consultative solutions and sales in the areas of Hardware-in-the-Loop-Simulation, Rapid Control Prototyping, Code Generation and Calibration tools. This challenging position encompasses technical consulting, generating quotations and customer relationship management for our clients using dSPACE products.


You will be working with our Inside Sales force. A sale for us results from technical consulting. Our sales team is composed of engineers with a strong hands-on background, whose business relations range from recommending standard products and engineering consulting services, to custom designs for complex process-oriented customer consultations. You will be dealing directly with the end user as well as management.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls or equivalent
  • Sales skills and experience and/or a proven ability to sell; 1 - 2 years experience in related sales capacity
  • Knowledge of MATLAB®, Simulink®, C
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Travel to trade shows and client sites
