About this Training

About this Training

Learn the essentials about function- and system development as well as verification and validation according to ISO/PAS 21448 (Safety of the Intended Functionality).

Safety of the intended functionality is a crucial aspect in ensuring safety of automotive systems. SOTIF complements ISO 26262 by extending the safety perspective and focusing on hazards arising from the intended functionality.
The test strategy with a meaningful combination of vehicle and virtual testing is the key to assess the effectiveness of safety measures in mitigating both known and unknown risks. This test strategy is the foundation for assessing the residual risk which enhances the overall safety of automotive systems for homologation.
