ConfigurationDesk and Bus Manager 2026-A (26.2) is compatible with dSPACE Release 2026-A. It requires a license with a maintenance end date of April 30, 2026, or later.

Bus Manager New Features & Benefits

• J1939 PDU Addresses feature: Enables run-time access to source and destination addresses for J1939‑21 IPDUs in Bus Manager configurations.
• Improved LIN task handling: LIN transmit tasks are simplified to one per controller, with persistent user settings and easier configuration.
• Enhanced embedded help: Bus Manager tables now include detailed, context-sensitive help for function ports and their properties.

Discontinuations

The generation of the MAP file during the build process was removed. Since the physical addresses of variables can be accessed by other products of the dSPACE tool chain via TRC files and A2L files, it is no longer required to use the MAP file for this purpose.

The support of static custom functions based on the XML schema version 2 was removed. Up to ConfigurationDesk Version 4.3, static custom functions are based on the legacy XML schema version 2. We recommend using the latest schema version defined for custom function blocks (CustomFunctionTypeSchema_V3_1.xsd) introduced with ConfigurationDesk 5.3 (Release 2015-A).

The FIBEX (ASAM MCD-2 NET) standard is no longer supported. You can no longer use communication matrices that comply with the FIBEX (ASAM MCD-2 NET) standard in the dSPACE tool chain.

The use of default hardware for new hardware topologies was removed.

The MTFX file format was removed. For the model topology, the Export Topology command is no longer available. MTFX files are no longer available for selection with the Replace Topology command.
