What do simulation and validation mean?
- Simulation is the replication of real systems using virtual models. Tests are performed under defined conditions to gain insights into functionality. The results of these simulations can then be transferred to the real system.
- Validation refers to checking whether a system meets the defined requirements. It is a key method for quality assurance and error prevention.
Why are simulation and validation important?
Quite simply, because they allow errors to be detected and eliminated in the early stages of product development. This saves time and money, as system behavior can be analyzed before tests are performed on the real system or a prototype – such as a vehicle or a complex robot.
