Built-in Interfaces
AutomationDesk accelerates and simplifies test sequence creation by providing predefined test steps, for example, for accessing:
  • The hardware-in-the-loop simulator including the failure insertion unit (FIU)
  • Different diagnostics tools
  • Various measurement and calibration tools
  • Vector CANoe/CANalyzer for analyzing vehicle buses1)
  • Vector CANscope and Vector CANstress for accessing the CAN bus1)

AutomationDesk can also integrate third-party tools via their application programming interfaces (API).

Platform Independence
Tests implemented in AutomationDesk can be used independently of the underlying hardware platform, so they are reusable for different systems and projects. To use an existing test on another system, you have to create new basic test steps containing details of the new variant and store them in a new AutomationDesk library. Then you link the new library to your existing test. You do not have to modify your test. Its behavior automatically adapts to the new specifications.

dSPACE has experience in connecting AutomationDesk to third-party hardware-in-the-loop systems and offers engineering support on request.
