June 20, 2011: The latest version 3.2 of dSPACE's production code generator TargetLink® has been certified by TÜV SÜD (German certification authority) for use in the development of safety-related systems. The certificate confirms that TargetLink is suitable for software development according to ISO 26262 up to ASIL D, IEC 61508 and derivative standards (such as EN 50128, which governs safety-related software on the railways).
The following TargetLink versions are now covered by the TÜV certificate:
- TargetLink 2.3.1
- TargetLink 3.1
- TargetLink 3.2
The certificate is also valid for all the patches and hotfixes for these releases.
The certificate report provides details such as the qualification methods used, and is available to interested TargetLink customers.
Also available from dSPACE is a reference workflow document for the model-based development of safety-related software with TargetLink, for use as a guide to fulfilling the requirements of the new ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 safety standards in projects.
