Systematic Controller Testing
Each and every finished controller must be systematically checked in extensive test scenarios to avoid life-threatening or expensive system failures under real operation. In hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests, the production-ready controller is run on a simulation of the real environment and tested thoroughly. Thanks to automated test runs, tests can be run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
dSPACE addresses a wide range of test scenarios, from test systems for one controller up to very large simulators for integration tests on numerous electronic control units. Detailed, extensive tests on complex systems can be performed efficiently in fully automated test runs.
