New SYNECT Version 2.0.1

Published: March 08, 2016

The dSPACE data management software, SYNECT, introduced recently in its version 2.0, has now been extended by select features for its version 2.0.1. Developers and testers now have even more support for efficiently managing data in model-based development and ECU testing.

Requirements Management

SYNECT 2.0.1 supports the new requirements exchange standard ReqIF. It is therefore easy to connect requirements management tools supporting this standard, such as Rational DOORS Next Generation or Polarion.

Test Management

The SYNECT Test Management module now integrates the functionality to automatically execute scheduled tests and assign them to the available test systems. For example, hardware-in-the-loop testers who test ECU software can schedule their tests for certain days and times. SYNECT starts them automatically on the assigned test system, no further user action is required.

Model Management

SYNECT provides special previews for importing models and variables. These previews give the users a quick overview of the data and potential changes, making it easier for developers to decide whether to include the data in the data management system.

Signal & Parameter Management

Measurement and calibration variables available in SYNECT can now be exported as ASAP2 (ASAM MCD-2 MC) description files. The users can adjust the specifics of the export to their own work methods.

Variant and Workflow Management

With SYNECT 2.0.1 and the established workflow management solution for dSPACE HIL systems, users can now create variant-based workflows more flexibly by defining individual workflow steps. They can also directly reuse these steps in other workflows.
