Following the first successful use of FlexRay in a production application, numerous other projects are presently approaching production level. The test functions necessary for verifying these systems are made available by test systems that have been successfully applied in many projects. In addition, more and more test functions are being used. A particularly important factor in verifying FlexRay networks is tight time synchronization between the simulator, which is the test system, and the FlexRay bus. This paper describes the methods currently being used for task scheduling and gives examples of how they are used.
