SYNECT 2.0: Further Optimization for Central Data Management Tool

Published: December 10, 2015

With SYNECT 2.0, dSPACE introduces a new version of its data management software for model-based development and ECU testing. SYNECT’s new server technology and further optimized usability give developers of embedded systems and software extensive support for managing the high amount of data that is created during the development process.

The new server technology introduced with SYNECT 2.0 improves scalability for working in large, global teams and for handling high data volumes.

An application programming interface (API) is now available for both the client and server sides. This lets developers automate more SYNECT processes and makes it even easier to adjust individual workflows.

In SYNECT 2.0, out-of-the-box integration of application management systems has been extended by the Microsoft® Team Foundation Server, which complements the existing integration of PTC Integrity® and IBM® Rational® DOORS®. This and the possibility to connect a wide range of engineering tools gives SYNECT a central role in the users’ tool chain where it manages the data that is created during the development process.

dSPACE has extended SYNECT’s functionality and improved usability in all modules, from Test Management, to Signal & Parameter Management, to Model Management and Variant Management. In addition, users can now connect dSPACE’s production code generator, TargetLink, to SYNECT’s Model Management via an add-on that supports the import, export and management of TargetLink models, signals, and parameters.
